Use of Facilities
The school facilities in West Covina belong to the community. Members of the community may use the facilities for non-profit activities that do not interfere with school-sponsored events. In order to use our facilities, please complete the application at the side of this page and note the following:
- Use of school facilities is fee-based and considered “rent.”
- Rental is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Organizations must supply/prove their own insurance.
- Custodial, equipment, and nutrition services require separate rental fees.
Do PTAs or ASBs need to complete an application?
Only if a custodian must work overtime do school-related organizations need to complete an application.
Do organizations using the outdoor facilities, practice fields, or stadiums need to complete an application?
Yes, sports teams or other groups using outdoor district facilities need to complete an application to ensure their events do not overlap with school-sponsored activities. They will also need to pay a custodian to clean the grounds and bathrooms.
Do school clubs have to pay to rent school facilities after hours or on Saturdays?
Clubs using the facilities after hours are required to cover custodial charges.
How much insurance coverage do I need to use a district facility?
It shall be the responsibility of the applicant to furnish the school district with a Certificate of Insurance for a minimum of $1,000,000 liability coverage. Said certificate will name the school district as an additional insured and named as Certificate Holder.
